Proposed rule to expand use of Medicare prior authorizations for DMEPOS

As reported in an article from The Hill,CMS is proposing to expand the use of “prior authorizations” for power wheelchairs and scooters and to utilize the prior authorization process for other categories of durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies (DMEPOS).
